1951: Scafati, a town already highly industrialized after the Second World War, war hero “Commendatore” Angelo Vittoria transformed the family’s network of artisan weavers into a modern, structured industry founding Industrie Tessili Angelo Vittoria.
1965: Biagio, a chemistry graduate and the son of “Commendatore” Vittoria, introduced important technological innovations to the company, including mechanical warp knotting machines and the first Jacquard looms. The range of products expanded and embraced the clothing sector. Industrie Tessili Angelo Vittoria became a leading reference brand in the hemp and linen sector.
1980: The factory moved from its initial location in the centre of Scafati to its current location and changed name to become Manifatture Tessili Vittoria. The considerable experience acquired in processing combined with a dynamic approach led to the introduction of yarn-dyed fabric into production.
